With NBC unsure whether it would invest in another season of the low-rated but beloved high school football drama “Friday Night Lights”, Vice President of entertainment DirecTV– Eric Shanks proposed a strategy to re-ignite the series.

Eric joined Fox Sports in 1994 for the network’s inaugural season of NFL coverage. He also served on production crews for Fox Sports’ coverage of the NHL and Major League Baseball.
